New Introducing the New Ampha X30 – Fast, Accurate and Effortless Cell Culture Monitoring

Amphasys AG and their exclusive distributor for the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Norway, Poland and Sweden, Dunn Labortechnik, proudly present the new Ampha X30 System. The new Ampha X30 ushers in a new era of cell analysis by enabling simultaneous measurement of cell count, viability, and critical information about cell status – such as metabolic activity. Powered by Impedance Flow Cytometry, this technology requires no dyes, markers, or incubation. Results are available within minutes, including sample preparation time! Amphasys is redefining cell analysis with advanced Impedance Flow Cytometry rather than optical detection. With a single instrument and four different microfluidic chip sizes, the Ampha X30 can analyze the entire spectrum of cells in various media types: bacteria, human and animal cells, algae, yeast, and even somatic cells in milk. We are closing the gap in Cell Analysis! While many cell analysis tools excel at specific tasks, they often fall short when it comes to bioprocess and cell culture development, lacking depth, speed, or ease of use. Amphasys bridges this gap with a label-free, real-time technology which is simple to operate and designed for fast, informed decision-making.

You can monitor and optimize bioprocesses in real time, detect apoptosis within hours rather than days, and preserve cells for further use, whether for sorting, cultivation, or research. The instrument offers high flexibility and can be integrated for online analysis via a bypass of the reaction solution. The sample is pumped directly from the reactor, through the microfluidic chip, and returned to the reactor, enabling continuous monitoring without interrupting the process. The sophisticated software streamlines measurement and data analysis, while integrated wizards ensure a simple, user-friendly workflow.

In addition, the system includes a reusable chip capable of up to 1,000 measurements, with multiple channel diameters to accommodate a wide variety of cell types. It can reliably analyze cells ranging from 1 µm to 50 µm, covering everything from bacteria to large plant cells, offering flexible and long-term experimental use.

ExoDiscovery® / ExoDisc®
The innovative system for rapid isolation of intact extracellular vesicles from biological samples

Dunn Labortechnik presents the ExoDiscovery® tabletop centrifuge from LabSpinner which is designed for rapid isolation of nanoscale extracellular vesicles (EVs) from various biological samples.

Cells secrete extracellular vesicles (EVs) for intercellular communication, and EVs are known to mediate physiological and pathological functions throughout the body by transporting functional biomolecules from one cell location, tissue or organ to another.

Present in all tissues and body fluids and even microorganisms, EVs carry a variety of different biomolecules including RNAs, proteins, and lipids. Using disposable ExoDisc® -D20 or -D100 cartridges and optimized protocols, the user can easily isolate intact EVs with sizes of >20 nm or >100 nm from a variety of biological samples such as plasma, serum, urine, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), bronchial wash and many more in as short as 15 – 60 minutes.

EVs are of particular and growing interest both for academic and clinical researchers as they play an important role in promoting or restraining various processes associated with the immune response, cancer development and progression, viral pathogenicity, pregnancy, cardiovascular diseases, and diseases of the central nervous system, making them promising targets also for new therapeutic agents.

Because quick and reproducible methods are desired and often required in basic and clinical research, the gentle isolation conditions (low centrifugal force: < 500 × g) and patented “Tangential Flow Filtration” technology make the ExoDiscovery® / ExoDisc® the ideal system for precision science and research applications. The obtained high yields of high purity intact EVs allow application of further sensitive downstream analyses (e.g. NTA, SEM, TEM, Western Blotting, ELISA, DNA/RNA prep for qPCR, or sequencing).
